The 2025 Lincoln Aviator SUV is already available in North America starting from $58,495 – a sizable increase from the pre-facelift version’s $53,340. Let’s see what it has to justify the cost.
On the exterior side of things, the bulky crossover sports a larger radiator grille, new headlights with DRLs overlapping the grille, and a redesigned front bumper. That’s about all.
Inside, the dashboard houses a 12.4-inch instrument display and a 13.2-inch infotainment screen. Like the new Ford Explorer that debuted earlier this month based on the same platform, the Aviator benefits from a new driver’s UI called Digital Experience. It comes with preinstalled Google and Amazon services, web browsers, and voice assistants from Alexa and Google.
Among other things, you are now supposed to access climate control settings from the central display, because there are no physical dials anymore. The second-row occupants still get a control panel, though.
In its cheapest trim version. the new Aviator comes with a preinstalled BlueCruise autopilot system that lets you take your hands off the steering wheel briefly on a limited number of roads in the United States. The usual Co-Pilot 360 assist package is included as well.
Interestingly enough, Lincoln does away with the hybrid powertrain in the 2025 Aviator. Like the Ford Explorer, the new Aviator now ships exclusively with a 3.0-liter V6 rated at 406 PS (400 hp / 299 kW), which is mated to the rear wheels through a ten-speed automatic transmission. AWD is a paid option, as usual. Going for the maxed-out Black Label trim will set you back nearly $100,000.
