This Lincoln Navigator by Hennessey sounds like a plane taking off

Last month, car tuner Hennessey has introduced a custom version of the Venom F5 sports car packing insane 1,600 hp (1,192 kW). The team claimed the vehicle could accelerate all the way to 500 km/h, but provided no proof to back up this claim.

The company just came out with a tuned-up Lincoln Navigator. In its stock version, the luxury-laden SUV comes equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 engine pumpuing out 450 hp (336 kW). The upgrade brings its performance up to 600 hp (447 kW).

The package includes an engine firmware update, revised air induction, a massive intercooler, and a sports-grade exhaust system.

The tuned-up Navigator gets to 100 km/h (62 mph) in mere 4.8 seconds and completes a quarter-mile (400 m) in 12.9 seconds.

Among other things, Hennessey Performance gave the car a low-ride suspension kit, forged wheels and hi-end Brembo brakes. The atelier only plans to release 200 copies.
