Despite the fact that the all-electric Lucid Air and the classic gas-powered Chevy Corvette Z06 are totally different cars, there is at least one thing they have in common: both excel at straight-line acceleration. YouTuber Edmunds decided to see how the duo would compare in a tricky drag race test featuring a U-turn.
The Z06 rocks a massive V8 rated at 680 PS (671 hp / 500 kW) that nonetheless pales in comparison to the powertrain used by the Air EV. On the upside, the ‘Vette is practically featherweight in comparison, which could give it a major advantage. Last but not least, suspension settings will come into play this time around as both drivers will be required to accelerate, hit brake, turn around and sprint back.
It still feels like the Chevy driver will have to execute every single action perfectly to win the race. Do you think he has what it takes?
