2025 Mazda BT-50 revealed with specs

Mazda has refreshed its BT-50 pickup truck lineup four years into production.

The new version features a distinct front bumper, a new radiator grille pattern with what looks like Mazda’s biggest badge so far, and new lights at both ends. The headlights now resemble those of the company’s light passenger cars, while the taillights preserve their overall shape while getting revised light signatures. New wheel and color options have been added to the list.

Inside, there is an improved infotainment system with a 9-inch display and wireless Android Auto connectivity. The digital dash screen has been expanded to 7 inches of diagonal size and learned to display useful real-time data when off-roading. The old BT-50 could only assist the driver by outputting data to the central screen, which wasn’t as easy to see depending on the conditions.

On the driving assist side of things, all trucks now benefit from upgraded front-facing cameras, traffic jam and traffic sign recognition features. The engine options stay the same, though. It is a 1.9-liter turbo diesel rated at 150 PS (148 hp / 110 kW) and a 3.0-liter naturally aspirated mill with 190 PS (187 hp / /140 kW). Both can be mated with a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. The drive is on the rear axle by default, but AWD is available.

The production will take place at the same factory in Thailand where the technically related Isuzu D-Max is being made. The first deliveries are planned for early 2025.
