McLaren 620R specs & details revealed

McLaren has shared new information about its upcoming street-legal supercar based on the racetrack-only 570S GT4. Apparently, the 620R series will consist of 350 units priced starting from £250,000.

Each McLaren 620R comes powered by the same twin-turbocharged 3.8 V8 as its donor the 570S GT4, albeit boosted to 620 hp (462 kW). It zaps from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 2.9 seconds and hits 200 km/h (124 mph) in mere 8.1 seconds. The top speed is capped at 322 km/h (200 mph).

On the outside, the two-door coupe boasts an adjustable carbon rear wing (the same as the 570S GT4), a redesigned front splitter, front bumper and hood, bucket seats with six-point harnesses, carbon-ceramic brakes, forged brake calipers, centerlock wheels, and Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R semi-slick tires.

Despite being road-legal, the 620R has no air conditioner of any kind in the cabin. It is also missing navigation, audio, floor mats, and glove compartment by default; all these can be added separately.
