Lorinser-tuned Mercedes-Benz E 400d 4Matic goes faster thanks to tuning

It has been a while since we heard from Mercedes specialist Lorinser, but it comes back now with a rather interesting upgrade for the diesel-chugging E-Class.

In its stock form, the E 400d 4Matic produces 340 PS (335 hp / 250 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque. Plugging in an external ECU and setting it up raises the output to 373 PS (368 hp / 274 kW) and 768 Nm (566 lb-ft) of torque. As a result, the wagon comes much closer to the considerably more expensive M550d in terms of acceleration.

Those looking to maximize aerodynamic performance may consider special Lorinser LM2R alloy wheels sized 21” and available in black and silver. One last upgrade comes in the form of carbon-fiber caps for the side mirrors.
