German company Terracamper has unveiled a DIY camping kit for the Mercedes-Benz G-Class that the buyers can install at home and remove when no longer needed without any permanent structural modifications to the SUV.
Included in the €11,000 package is a large slide-out kitchen unit complete with a two-burner stove, a cabinet and a cutting board accessible through the rear left door of the vehicle. Opening the tailgate grants access to a bench seat and a folding table that you can reconfigure into a two-person bed for the night. There is also a mini-WC on board, a 31-liter fridge and a 20-liter fresh water tank.
The roof gets a box with a single-person camping tent and an awning. The buyers can also opt for solar panels, a 150-Ah battery array, LED ambient lighting for the cabin, a heating fan and some other camping-friendly supplies.
