Chery facelifts its Tiggo 4 & 7 lineups

The automaker has once again refreshed its Tiggo 4 and Tiggo 7 SUVs, demonstrating the new versions to reporters near its HQ in Wuhu, China.

Starting with the Tiggo 7, it now simultaneously resembles the more expensive 7 Pro PHEV model and the recently introduced Tiggo 9 flagship. A new radiator grille, a redesigned front fascia and different fog lights lend it a distinct new exterior. The same holds true for the rear end, which sports reshaped brake lights connected with a LED strip and a new bumper concealing the tailpipes.

The interior resembles that of the more upmarket Exeed RX model. A trapezoid display at the front end simultaneously acts as a dashboard and an infotainment system screen. The center tunnel now houses a phone charger pad, a pair of cup holders and some USB ports. The transmission selector and the drive mode dial have been reworked, too.

As for the Tiggo 4, it now has the same headlights as the Tiggo 7 Pro, interconnected brake lights and a refreshed grille design at the front. The cabin remains to be revealed, but the few photos available thus far suggest it stays more or less the same.

All powertrain details have yet to be announced, but the media in China believe that both cars will be available in ICE and hybrid variants.
