Video: Hennessey tests its 850-HP Ford Mustang

The Ford Mustang H850 Dark Horse Heritage Edition is coming to us in a limited production run of 24 units boasting 862 PS (850 hp / 634 kW) and manual transmission. In the meantime, let’s have a look at its dynamic performance.

The car in the video comes equipped with an upgrade supercharger, a high-end intake and other performance components from Hennessey. The Texan tuner throws in a major ECU remap to make sure the drivetrain operates within its allowed specs. It’s still an extreme tune that makes the Dark Horse’s 5.0-liter V8 rev up all the way to 7,250 RPM. It peaks at 881 Nm (650 lb-ft) of torque.

Some visual tweaks have also been made. The Heritage Edition ‘Stang rides on Hennessey Forged Performance wheels and wears a white livery adorned with blue stripes. The suspension enjoys its own share of upgrades, and manual is the only transmission type available.
