As you may have heard, Moody’s has recently awarded Nissan a “junk” credit rating. Fitch Ratings has now done the same, slapping the automaker with a “negative” outlook.
According to the agency, the Japanese company is not profitable enough and unlikely to recover from its numerous issues anytime soon. With foreign car sales collapsing in China and Mexican imports to the United States threatened with tariffs, the situation may actually worsen in 2025.
