This is what the Porsche Panamera RWD / 918 Spyder could look like

Along with the numerous one-off studies, the Stuttgart automaker has shed light on some cars that could in theory become production models – with the emphasis on ‘in theory’.

The Vision Turismo Concept that you can now have a good look at in our gallery emerged four years ago as a potential starting point for the gasoline-powered Taycan model or a rear-wheel-drive Panamera. However, the company later decided to switch the former model to pure electric power and let the latter keep its original engine layout.

The Vision 920 Concept also shown here was designed last year as a hypothetical successor to the 918 Spyder model. The original Spyder retired in 2015, and the company never decided what direction to take it in next. As you can see, the car appears to be halfway a dedicated racer and halfway a road-legal daily driver, although it leans towards the former with its exposed chassis, narrow cabin and track-friendly aerodynamics.
