Check out a fashion house take on a 38-year-old Porsche 944 Turbo

NYC-based fashion house Aimé Leon Dore has once again joined efforts with Porsche to design and build a unique Porsche 944 restomod giving off strong 1980s vibes.

The sports car, which was produced in 1986, received a faithful full-body restoration that saw its exterior finished in Guards Red with period-correct golden accents on the sides. New wheels resembling a classic phone dial slotted into the arches.

Much more has been done in the cabin. Tan leather and reddish-brown artificial suede cover every surface, while the lower door cards and the floor mats are adorned with alpaca wool. The headrests and the steering wheel bear embossed Aimé Leon Dore logos.

The engine wasn’t mentioned in the press release, so we assume that the car holds onto its 2.5-liter turbo four-pot rated at 220 PS (217 hp / 162 kW) and 330 Nm (243 lb-ft) of torque.

Now that it is complete, the car will be used as a window dressing at the fashion house’s NYC headquarters. It will be joining the company of three other Zuffenhausen vehicles restored earlier – a white 964 Carrera 4, a yellow 911 Super Carrera and a blue 356.
