コンセプトカー
The Japanese carmaker has decided to refresh its interior design guidelines, so let us see what we can expect.
The new direction is called “Simplicity and Something” and is all about evolutionary changes, rather than revolutionary ones. It looks like the company wants to reduce visual clutter and review its former approach known as “More Human, Less Machine”.
Based on the sketch provided, priorities include maximizing useful interior space, concealing air vents like Tesla does, and continuing to offer at least some essential controls in hardware form, such as those under the infotainment screen and on the HVAC panel. Smaller details like pleasant surface patterns and carefully chosen trim materials, are meant to evoke emotion in this new design.
The second pic shows the current-gen Honda Civic cabin for comparison purposes.
