Tesla Model Bee: Elon Musk hints at what his upcoming electric pickup may be called

Elon Musk has posted a few images on its social network pages that make it pretty obvious what Tesla’s impending pickup truck will be called. Unless we are being seriously tricked, it is going to be 'Model B'.

Media first learned that Tesla was busy designing a pickup thre years ago. During a presentation detailing the company’s development strategy for the next few years, a slide popped up depicting a large truck styled in a similar vein with the Tesla Semi. Shortly afterwards, the manufacturer officially confirmed the plans to release such a vehicle.

A few days ago, Musk posted a few images on his Twitter page, accompanying each with a bee emoji. Needless to say, most took it to be a hint at an upcoming “Model B”.

Going back to Musk’s earlier ambitions, he had initially wanted his first four all-electric car models called the S, E, X, and Y (=SEXY). The dream came 75% true with the release of the Tesla S, X, and Y, but Ford Motor Company was the first to grab the rights for a ‘Model E’, leaving Tesla CEO somewhat frustrated in the aftermath. In the end, he decided to call his fourth car the ‘Model 3’, reasoning that S3XY still looked kinda nice.

With the new pickup underway, the company’s motto might as well change to 'B S3XY'.

The exterior of the truck remains a complete mystery at the moment. Independent designers have many different fantasies on that score, though, which you may see on the attached video.
