The Skoda Superb family is getting ready for a major update, as Thomas Schaefer promised while revealing the company’s development strategy. Now, car spotters were lucky to catch a test car driven on public roads.
This is not the first time we are seeing the new Superb, but the first time it is riding in its production bodywork. The overall proportions seem unchanged (watch the video and compare if you feel like it), although the newcomer seems a touch longer and wider.
It is official that the next Superb generation comes based on an upgraded version of the MQB platform, bringing along DCT improvements, a new digital gauge cluster, more driving aids and an up-to-date infotainment system. The engine range will include a hybrid powertrain available in multiple boosts.
