Hein Schafer, Senior Sales VP of Volkswagen USA, has posted a couple of teasers previewing the upcoming Atlas SUV facelift (known as the Teramont in other regions). Judging by the images, the front end may be styled in the same vein as the Chinese version, which is already two years old.
The headlights appear larger with DRLs surrounding them and a light bar connecting the main lights. The company logo is also illuminated.
Aside from the standard Atlas, Volkswagen offers a shortened version dubbed the Cross Sport (USA) or X (China). The last facelift the model received in North America was three years ago, and you can se the result in the rest of the gallery below, as well as the video. The Chinese counterpart enjoyed a facelift in the spring of 2021.
Nothing is known about the interior at this moment. The second teaser shows gauges with a new backlight, and it seems to be the Cross Sport version of the dash.
If the China-spec Atlas/Teramont is any indication, the facelift for the USA may get an all-new dashboard with a standalone multimedia system screen.
