Check out a 1,001-PS off-road monster of an Audi A6

Germany-based aftermarket and tuning specialist MTM took a regular Audi A6 Allroad 55 TFSI and transformed it into a badass-looking super-off-roader capable of hitting 100 km/h (62 mph) in less than three seconds on those chunky, grabby tires.

The car landed with an RS 6 engine transplant, giving it eight cylinders and four liters of displacement. It also received dual turbos, a Stage IV software upgrade, improved intake, cooling and exhaust parts and a plethora of smaller modifications. The transmission was also updated in software and hardware terms. As a result, the output skyrocketed to 1,0001 PS (1987 hp / 736 kW) and the sprint time from 100 to 200 km/h (62-124 mph) went down to five-something seconds.

Still, as happy as tuners are to talk sprint times, it is an off-roader we have here. To traverse snow and dirt, the A6 Allroad comes shod in General Grabber AT3 tires, has a moderately lifted suspension, benefits from lightweight Recaro bucket seats and protects the occupants with a custom-tailored roll cage. A fire extinguishing system is also provided.
