BMW has officially introduced “fully loaded” M Performance versions of its X3 and X4 SUVs. Both cars will enter into production in spring and arrive in showrooms in late 2019. Prices will be available later.
Both the X3 M and the X4 M now take advantage of enhanced 3.0 turbo V6 engines now rated at a healthy 480 hp (358 kW). You may opt for the Competition package to get an additional 30 hp / 22 kW. Regardless of your chosen configuration, the car will ship with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
Both 4WD vehicles sprint 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in a matter of 4.2 seconds (4.1s with the Competition package) and max out at 250 km/h (155 mph).
Standard equipment now includes revised suspension and brakes, adaptive shocks, improved roll bars, aerodynamically-shaped side mirrors, a front bumper with enormous air intakes, a quad-pipe exhaust system, a rear spoiler, and new alloy wheels available in 20 and 21 inches.
Inside, there are ergonomic sport seats, the trademark M wheel and a redesigned dashboard.
