Check out 2 BMW Isetta models turned into a dragster and a pickup truck

Mike Brown, a tuner and originator of the Paper to Pavement project, has reported successfully wrapping up work on two BMW Isetta microcars. One of them transformed into a tiny bike-engined drag strip weapon, while the other one became a pickup capable of hauling the dragster around.

Brown has essentially built both cars on his own start to end, spending several hundred hours on them, RideApart reports. Both ended up with custom space-frames, and while the original bodywork was largely preserved, all else has been replaced in a careful, style-conscious manner.

The dragster wound up with impressive rear wheel set driven by a Harley Davidson Shovelhead V-engine through a chain transmission. The interior was retrimmed in golden hues.

In turn, the mini-pickup received a cargo bed sized to match its own tiny dimensions and was swapped to an inline-six engine from Chevrolet.

Brown gave funny names to both cars, calling the dragster Big Dill and the pickup Pickle Jar.
