800-PS, Hamann-tuned BMW M5 is barely recognizable under the mascara

In 2013, German tuner Hamann Motorsports has come up with a rather bold-looking aerodynamic kit for the F10 BMW M5, and one such vehicle has recently cropped up on sale. Let’s review what makes it special.

The list begins with a revised front end now featuring numerous ornamental inserts and different headlight framing. The hood is also new, the fenders give off vaguely retro-futuristic vibes, and the rear makes use of two spoilers and a diffuser. Dual-five-spoke forged wheels occupy the arches, allowing a peek at custom brake calipers finished in blue.

The cabin is also far from stock, with fine blue leather covering everything from the seats and the door cards to the center console. A 16-channel Bang & Olufsen audio set complements the tuning.

Rounding things off is a twin-turbo V8 boosted to around 800 metric horsepower (789 hp / 588 kW).

Frankly speaking, we have our reservations concerning the appearance of the car – some of the mods look rather erratic and obsolete – but there is no denying that Hamann has amassed something like a cult following over the years. It should therefore not be surprising that the car shown on the photos here found a new owner soon after the ad was posted.
