The current BMW X2 coupe-SUV is barely two years old, yet the Bavarian automaker felt it could use a mid-generational refresh. Autoevolution believes that the company wants to spread its Neue Klasse design language across most of its lineup as soon as possible.
In particular, you can see the updated X2 sporting new headlights, a reshaped radiator grille and a bumper inspired by the all-electric iX3. The taillights seem likewise redesigned, but the rear spoiler looks unchanged so far.
Although there are no detailed cabin shots at this moment, it looks like the new X2 will be getting BMW’s signature panoramic display spanning the entire width of the windshield. The infotainment system will most likely be refreshed as well in terms of both software and hardware, while the steering wheel looks like it may carry over from the current SUV (see video).
The general expectation is that the new X2 will debut before the end of the year.
