BMW M3 wagon breaks its own North Loop record

BMW has officially reported setting a new lap record on the Nürburgring with the latest M3 Touring CS. The five-door family car completed its 20.8-kilometer (12.9-mile) run in 7 minutes 29.49 seconds.

The previous North Loop record in the wagon category was also set by a BMW. An M3 Touring completed the run in 7 minutes 35.06 seconds. The new best time is almost on par with that of the M3 CS sedan, which managed a run in 7 minutes 28.76 seconds.

BMW launched the range-topping M3 CS at the beginning of 2025, landing it with 550 PS (542 hp / 405 kW), lightweight body construction and track-friendly suspension adjustments.
