Caterham’s upcoming Project V sports car will be completely electric, but it should handle exceptionally well thanks to an innovative battery by Xing Mobility Taiwan.
The power cell pack is rated for 55 kilowatt-hours and boasts exceptional energy density at 200 Watt-hours per kilogram, resulting in low weight and plenty of range.
To keep things cool, the cells in the pack are submerged in a dielectric liquid at all times. It remains to be seen how well this new battery design performs in real-life conditions, but it certainly looks promising.
