Check out a buggy with 550 PS at its disposal

A recent YouTube video stars a rather unique extreme buggy called the Venom Rock Bouncer. Lacking body panels and most creature comfort, it is nonetheless a superb tool for fast and safe off-roading.

The Venom Racing Team takes part in a North American sport called rock bouncing – it is like rock crawling, but you must complete the course as fast as possible. Tumbling over is a common occurrence, and this is why the vehicle looks like a naked space frame with a high-power suspension offering more than 700 mm (27 inches) of travel. It also runs on humongous 43-inch tires mounted on beadlock-protected wheels. The whole thing is around 4.5 meters (14.75 feet) long and weighs over 1.6 metric tons (3,500 lbs). A Chevy V8 under the hood pumps out around 550 horsepower (406 kilowatts) to the wheels, taking the rock racer to a top acceleration of 180 km/h (112 mph).

The team claims the ATV is capable of running on any surface, including jagged rocks, mud, and dry dirt. Its roll cage is designed to survive a fall from a height exceeding 40 meters (130 feet). As for the rock bouncing as a sports, Venom says it is the best thing to get your adrenaline from.
