The 2008 ASVE AREX roadster created by ex-Disney-actor-turned-car-designer David Stollery will cross the auction block in the USA on Friday, April 25.
Stollery’s company, Industrial Design Research, has spent nearly two decades working on the supercar. It ended up with a stainless-steel tube frame, butterfly-wing doors, dual-wishbone suspension, disc brakes at all four corners, and a transaxle LT1 V8. Powered by a Magnuson supercharger and a five-speed racing gearbox by ZF, the car reportedly hits 60 miles per hour (96.6 km/h) in three seconds flat. It is also said to be capable of 322 km/h (200 mph).
Back in 2019, Stollery presented the only example of the car ever made to a museum in South California, which is now shutting down. We are excited to see how much this truly unique creation sells for, because there are no estimates.
