Welcome the Ferrari Tributo, the marque’s fastest-going V8 ride

The fastest and most powerful V8-based Ferrari will celebrate its live debut at the Geneva show next month. In the meantime, the manufacturer has revealed most of its technical specs, so let us see what kind of car we are dealing with here.

The vehicle comes powered by a 3.9-liter V8 unit equipped with dual turbine chargers and producing up to 720 hp (537 kW) and 770 Nm (568 lbft) of torque. The car sprints 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) in mere 2.9 seconds and hits 200 km/h (124 mph) in 7.8s. Going in a straight line, it may ultimately accelerate to 340 km/h (211 mph).

The coupe weighs in at just 1,330 kilos (2,930 lb.), and is 4,611 mm (15.13 ft.) long, 1,979 mm (6.5 ft.) wide and 1,206 mm (3.96 ft.) tall. Newly developed aerodynamic parts enable it to have 10% less aerodynamic drag while at the same time producing more downforce.

Inside, you can find a 7-inch, touch-enabled multimedia display, a new steering wheel and round air vents.

For those who missed that announcement, the Italian company said earlier that the Ferrari F8 Tributo was meant as a replacement for the old 488 GTB.

Another Ferrari premiere later this year will be dedicated to a hybrid supercar packing a V8 engine and a single electric motor. The hybrid will surpass both the F8 Tributo and the 488 Pista in terms of performance.
