Having presented an extreme tuning program for the Ferrari 812 Competizione, Novitec has turned its sights towards the Superfast model, giving the Italian automaker’s last naturally aspirated V12 in history a tune-up that actually improved the sprint time and the top speed.
Specifically, the stock 812 model produces 800 PS (789 hp / 588 kW) and 720 Nm (531 lb-ft) of torque. Once recalibrated, it gets additional 40 PS (40 hp / 30 kW) and 31 Nm (23 lb-ft), accelerating the car from standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 2.8 seconds. The maximum speed is also higher than standard at 345 km/h (212 mph).
Having said that, there is still at least one important hardware modification: the high-end exhaust system. Novitec offers two main designs – with an active valve for sound control and without – and lets buyers choose between stainless steel and Inconel alloy.
Among other things, the car wears the tuner’s own N-Largo S body kit with matching wheels sized 21” front and 22” rear, rides 35 mm (1.4”) lower than stock and has rear arches flared by 140 mm (5.5”). Only three units like this will be made, and they have already been spoken for.
