The 102th annual Pikes Peak International Hill Climb race that ended this weekend in Colorado, USA saw Ford’s Romain Dumas claim his fifth victory so far.
Piloting the all-electric Ford F-150 Lightning Super Truck, Dumas managed to cover the entire 20-kilometer (12.4-mile) long ascending trail in 8 minutes 53.563 seconds despite a major technical malfunction that had him stalling for half a minute. Dumas’ best time on the track is 7 minutes 57.148 seconds.
Dani Sordo drove his Hyundai Ioniq 5 N TA Spec to the 3rd position in the overall ranking and the 1st in his category, “Exhibition”. He crossed the finish line 9 minutes 30.852 seconds in.
A Wolf Aurobay GB08 2.0 HP steered by Christian Merli came 2nd with a time of 9 minutes 04.454 seconds.
