You may have heard that ABT Sportsline opened a branch office in Guangzhou, China not long ago, and this GAC Trumpchi Empow R is its first tuning project for that country.
The car, alternatively known as the Shadow Leopard, ended up with a massive front bumper, a large radiator grille with vertical bars, flared fenders, a splitter and a diffuser. It also received a set of ABT multi-spoke rims, a carbon-fiber rear wing, side mirror caps made from the same material, and vivid red accents all around.
Inside, the Empow R•ABT greets the driver with a combination of Alcantara and carbon fiber trim bits. The seats are sports-ready and offer enhanced lateral support.
Powering the saloon is its stock 2.0-liter block rated at 265 PS (261 hp / 195 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque. The dynamic performance is not mentioned, but the stock car takes 5.7 seconds from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph). We would expect the ABT version to be a touch faster.
