Hummer EV gets an SUV version

As promised, GMC has revealed an SUV variant of its all-electric Hummer truck that debuted last fall. The newcomer uses the same GM BT1 chassis and reminds us of the Hummer H2 model produced in 2022–2009.

Those eager to place their pre-order will be getting the Edition One, which has triple motors producing 842 PS (830 hp / 620 kW) along with 15,592 Nm (11,500 lb-ft) of torque. The pickup is slightly ahead with 1,000+ horsepower. The SUV can sprint 0-97 km/h (0-60 mph) in 3.5 seconds and offers around 483 km (300 miles) of range.

The cabin contains two large displays, specifically a 12.3-inch digital dash and a 13.4-inch multimedia touchscreen. Super Cruise Control is included in the base equipment list.

The Edition One will be arriving to the market in early 2023 priced from $106,000. A lower spec called EV3X SUV will follow in spring priced at $100,000. A dual-motor EV2X SUV will accompany it with 634 PS (625 hp / 466 kW), 10,033 Nm (7,400 lb-ft) of torque and 483 km (300 miles) of range for $90,000.

The most basic trim called EV2 ($80,000) will not arrive until 2024. It is expected to share the powertrain with the EV2X, but have less range (approx. 400 km / 250 miles).
