Pimped-out 1st-gen Honda NSX up for grabs in Sweden at a discount price

This 1991 Honda NSX with a JDM body kit by VeilSide on and some other modifications is available in Sweden for 650,000 Krona, or just under $59,000 – not exactly a bargain bin offer, but close.

For their money, the buyer gets a sports car with 12,780 km (7,941 miles) under its belt and a mildly tuned, recently serviced 3.0-liter V6 under the hood. Originally rated at 270 PS (266 hp / 200 kW), the mill is now said to churn out around 300 PS (296 hp / 221 kW).

The body kit takes some getting used to and consists of two bumpers, a ventilated hood, headlights moved onto the grotesquely flared fenders, a massive rear bumper and a quasi-floating rear wing. Gone are the famous first-gen NSX taillights, apparently replaced by Ferrari 360 Modena brake lights. The arches are occupied by turbine-shaped wheels sized 19” front and 20” rear.

The interior is also far from stock with carbon fiber on the center console and Alcantara trim in most other places. The dashboard is digital and sourced from a Honda S2000, and the steering wheel is a quick-release Momo model.

Interestingly, a similar Acura NSX tuned by the same JDM shop managed to bring home $84,900 in the United States last year. This one has been listed for more than two months now, and is now being sold at a discount. If your guess is that the tuning is what breaks the deal for most people, we will admit to suspecting the same.
