Kia has launched the pre-sales of its Carnival MPV on the domestic market. Most of the specifications are already known, and prices begin from 34,700,000 KRW.
On the outside, the minivan is styled in line with Kia’s other recent releases. It sports an updated front grille, revised bumpers at both ends, refreshed headlights and a different tailgate. Those who wish to stand out from the crowd are offered a trim package called Gravity, which brings along blacked-out décor and 19-inch wheels.
Inside, the two main 12.3-inch displays are merged into a single head unit. The multimedia system benefits from an improved voice assistant and support fingerprint scanning. The transmission tunnel looks different, and the company mentions a more comfortable driver’s seat, too.
On its domestic market, the minivan comes equipped with a 2.2-liter diesel engine rated at 194 PS (191 hp / 143 kW). As an alternative, you can grab a petrol version with 294 PS (290 hp / 216 kW) at the output end. Finally, there is a new hybrid spec that uses a 1.6-liter turbo engine with an electric motor for a combined 245 PS (242 hp / 180 kW) and 367 Nm (271 lb-ft) of torque.
