Lego already has a 1:8 brick model of the Lamborghini Sian in its portfolio, but it was apparently not enough. The new take on the iconic Italian hypercar is every bit as large and heavy as the original.
The model took 8,660 hours to design and assemble from around 400,000 parts, some of them custom-made for the project. At 4,980 mm (16.04 feet) long, 2,101 mm (6.89 ft.) wide and 1,133 mm (3.72 ft.) tall, the dimensions match those of the real thing with millimeter precision.
Note also the lighting all around: ‘Sian’ means ‘lightning’, and the concept found an appropriate reflection in the toy car. Both the headlamps and the body-mounted lights are blindingly bright. Inside, you can see a richly detailed steering wheel, some of the controls, and seats. Lamborghini itself did the painting, by the way.
The model weighs in at 2,200 kilograms (4,850 pounds).
