McLaren Artura shows up on video

McLaren continues hyping things up around its Artura supercar. The premiere is set for Wednesday, February 17, and this 40-second long video gives us a good idea of what to expect.

The automaker’s claim that the car would be an all-new project designed from scratch seems dubious now that the exterior is revealed. The superhybrid sports a 570S-style front fascia and rear fender intakes, as well as an easily recognizable roofline and overall silhouette. As if that were not enough, the radiator grille is a typical Senna, and the headlights leans towards the Speedtail.

Powering the McLaren Artura is a part-electric system centered on a twin-turbo V6. The electric motor quantity and power remain to be announced, but it stands to reason that the new car should be rated above 570 PS (562 hp / 420 kW). The one spec that’s official is the electric driving range: 32 kilometers, or 20 miles.
