Would you throw half a million euros at this Mansory-tuned G-Class?

The Gronos P820 takes a regular Mercedes-AMG G 63 (W465) and reinvents it with a full-carbon exterior, a completely overhauled interior and a 235-PS engine boost.

As you can see, the whole body of the G-Wagon has been trimmed with forged carbon. This includes everything from panels to the smallest body kit and trim parts, like the side mirror caps. Even the spare wheel cover on the tailgate boasts this unique look. Sparse yellow accents help dilute the monotonous matte grey, but it still looks rather subdued.

The same cannot be said about the cabin with its shrill yellow leather upholstery. There are Mansory engravings everywhere, the steering wheel resembles a racing yoke, and the few surfaces that aren’t draped in leather are covered with body-matching forged-carbon trims.

As any modern G-Class, this one packs a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, but it’s about as far as it gets from stock. Mansory lifts the output to 820 PS (809 hp / 603 kW)  and 1,150 Nm (949 lb-ft) of torque. Prepped like this, the lumbering off-roader snaps off to 100 km/h (62 mph) in four seconds flat and reaches 250 km/h (155 mph) in a straight line.

Pricing for the Mansory Gronos P820 starts from €520,000 before any options. The production is “strictly limited”, but it’s unclear how many units the German tuner plans to make.
