2019 Nissan Navara facelift debuts in Europe

Car manufacturer Nissan has rolled out the 2019 facelift version of its Navara pickup truck in Europe. The car has hardly changed much on the outside, but the tech is a different story altogether.

The only visual novelty comes in the form of redesigned headlights – and even those are only available in higher trims. The cabin also stays the same, unless you count the slightly improved multimedia system with the display now measuring eight inches across.

Things get much more interesting in the tech department, though. The 2019 truck ships with a new six-speed manual transmission and an improved 2.3-liter turbocharged diesel engine. Previously only available in the 160-hp (120-kW) version, it now ships in 163-kW (122-kW) and 190-hp (142-kW) variants. The 163-hp model even comes equipped with dual turbochargers instead of a single one. A new seven-speed automatic gearbox is optionally available for the 190-hp unit.

Among other things, the 2019 Nissan Navara facelift sports coil-spring rear suspension in place of the old leaf-spring one, and takes advantage of new disc brakes instead of drum brakes.
