Few would dare argue that the Porsche Taycan Turbo S isn’t a supercar. It might be lacking in the ‘turbo’ department, but its twin motors, 750 hp (560 kW) and ability to sprint 0-60 mph in under three seconds makes many traditional sports car owners envious. With its latest release, Vossen Wheels might just aggravate that envy.
Only the S17-04 wheel set is available for the Taycan EV so far, but other options should emerge in near future. The 20-spoke rims look way more elegant and less bulky than the factory options while also being lighter. The 22-inch set shown here comes finished in Satin Black, but you could of course go with a custom finish. Different sizes are also available, with the topmost 24-inch option not quite feasible without wheel arch extensions.
As one could guess, the wheels aren’t exactly cheap. A single piece (S17-04 22” rim + hardware + Michelin Pilot Sport tire) costs at least €2,750 in Europe, and the complete set therefore amounts to €11,000 before taxes, shipment and installation. Then again, perhaps we are overthinking things that no owner of the €180,000+ Porsche Taycan would care about…
