Scotland-based tuner Campervan Co does what is says on the tin: builds custom motorhomes and camper vehicles for fervent road lovers. This D:5 Terrain, based on the 2007 model year version of the Mitsubishi Delica D:5 minivan, is one of their latest creations.
A single glance at the exterior of the MPV instantly betrays its off-road inclinations. Telltale traits include a moderate suspension lift, special tires, and a wear-resistant body kit. You may opt for a bull bar, more convenient running boards, and a custom body paint or wrap.
Enter the interior, and you are greeted by a dual-burner induction stove, a wide bed for two, numerous collapsible, retractable and otherwise compact storage boxes and niches, and all other things you would expect a serious campervan to feature. If you wish, Campervan Co will add a roof lift mechanism and install solar panels for maximum independence from power mains.
The Mitsubishi Delica D:5 Terrain comes powered by a four-cylinder engine rated at 168 hp (125 kW), sending the torque to all four wheels by means of a six-speed manual gearbox.
A used campervan like this may be yours for around €32,000, which is quite a bargain. Unfortunately, the tuner only ships to other locations inside Great Britain right now, with other countries coming soon.
