Bring-a-Trailer is selling a 1968 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 restored to peak condition in its original design (watch the video and compare if you wish). The bidding is at $10,000 right now, but there’s still a week or so remaining.
The restoration team repainted the car in a light shade of blue and equipped it with a roll cage with a soft top draped over it. A peek inside reveals new dash gauges, steering wheel and bucket seats.
Rancho shocks in the suspension result in a smoother ride, disc brakes help with the deceleration, and the steering benefits from a hydraulic booster. The off-roader rides on 18-inch Moto Metal wheels shod in 35-inch Americus Rugged rubber.
Power comes from a 5.7-liter Chevrolet V8 linked to a four-speed A/T and a transfer case. The mileage and the power output aren’t specified.
