In February this year, Audi said it would soon end the production of the TT Roadster without any successor coming to fill in the gap. Multiple ‘farewell editions’ have since been announced for different countries. This week, the TT Roadster Final Edition was confirmed for North America. It will wear a nostalgic shade of green and be limited to 50 production units, making it a collector’s item.
The car was previewed with a Goodwood Green Pearl exterior by Audi Exclusive, which first-generation TT owners could get for a premium. The top, the bumper trims and the 20-inch wheels are grey for contrast.
From the technical standpoint, the car is a stock TT S Line, although you wouldn’t know it due to the missing badges. It gets carbon-fiber accents in the cabin and Palomino Brown leather on the seats in a homage to the original TT.
A 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine under the hood works in tandem with a seven-speed DCT, sending its usual 231 PS (228 hp / 170 kW) to all four wheels. The car needs 5.5 seconds to sprint 0-60 mph (0-96.6 km/h).
