BMW M2 Competition gets full custom treatment from AC Schnitzer

The German tuner team over at AC Schnitzer has started taking custom orders for the BMW M2 Competition. You can now choose to equip your sports car with a performance upgrade, a styling package, and/or a few interior options.

The tuner has managed to boost the stock engine from its 410 hp (306 kW) and 550 Nm (406 lbft) of torque to 500 hp (373 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lbft) via chip tuning. Despite a healthy power increase, the engine remains Euro 6d-TEMP compliant.

The firm neglected to measure the new standard sprint time of the car, but it is reasonable to expect a considerable improvement over the standard 4.0 seconds.

Among other things, the BMW M2 Competition may now take advantage of custom AC Schnitzer RS coilovers that will lower it by up to 40 mm (1.6”) and ensure maximum power delivery to the ground. If you don’t need adjustability, you may still opt for regular lowering springs that reduce the clearance by 25 mm (1”) on both axles.

The body kit for the model includes a front splitter, a massive fixed rear wing equippable with an optional Gurney flap, and a bulky diffusor housing new tailpipes available in black, chrome and carbon finishes. As always, AC Schnitzer has new wheels on offer, available in dozens of size and color combinations.

Inside, you can fit the car with custom pedals, an aluminum cover for the BMW iDrive system, a convenient handbrake lever, a different engine start/stop button, and a paddle shifter.
