Cadillac has rolled out the second generation of its China-only CT6 saloon. The engine and the platform remain the same, while the design gets updated.
The new CT6 stays unchanged in terms of total body length and wheelbase, but becomes slightly lower and wider. The outlines are sportier now, and the front end tries to follow the latest trends with its massive grille and slim multi-tier headlights. A spoiler, new tailpipes and upright taillights sum up the changes at the rear.
A curved 33-inch display inside the cabin combines the functions of a digital instrument cluster with those of an infotainment system. The transmission tunnel has only a few buttons on it, and the gear selector has moved to the steering wheel.
On its domestic market, the Cadillac CT6 utilizes a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine to send 237 PS (234 hp / 174 kW) to the wheels along with 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of peak torque.
The sales will start in June.
