Next-gen Dodge Charger launch gets postponed to late autumn

Dodge introduced the new Charger this spring hoping to start sales in summer, but it not looks like the first cars won’t arrive until well into the fall.

The company had initially planned to start the sales with the all-electric “Daytona” version, but dealerships have now received a communication from the automaker stating that all scheduled shipments had been pushed back by 90 days.

This means that the first Chargers, electric or otherwise, won’t hit showroom floors until at least mid-fall, but likely later than that. We are told that the company discovered serious issues with the electronic systems of the car during pre-production tests and needed more time to iron them out.
