Well-known Texan performance tuner Hennessey has unveiled the third generation of its VelociRaptor 6x6 truck. The vehicle now runs on latest-gen F-150 Raptor underpinnings while preserving the feature set of its predecessors.
In its badass off-road version, the F-150 gets a truck bed stretched from the original 1.67 meters (65 inches) to 2.4 meters (94 inches). Two driven axles with diff locks reside underneath, and overlanding performance also benefits from a revised, more robust suspension setup with added ground clearance. The company claims the traction on most surfaces is around 50% better than it was thanks to new 20-inch Hennessey wheels wrapped in special tires. The bumpers are stainless-steel all around, and extra lighting is provided for nighttime driving.
The stock V6 enjoys a boost from 457 PS (451 hp / 336 kW) to 566 PS (548 hp / 409 kW) and 911 Nm (672 lb-ft) of torque. This is owing to a new ECU, an aftermarket intercooler and performance turbochargers.
The truck is already available to order starting from $399,950, and deliveries are already running.
