Ford has introduced a new trim version of the Ford Ranger for Europe. Called Platinum, it is the most opulent trim to date coming with new equipment and design features. You can already pre-order it, but the deliveries will only begin in late spring 2023.
A look at the Ford Ranger Platinum reveals a new radiator grille and 20-inch wheels, as well as Silk Chrome trim pieces and Matrix LED headlights. The cabin comes wrapped in perforated leather with stitched inserts and offers deluxe seats with 10 power adjustments. The infotainment system boasts a larger 12-inch display, there is a premium audio system on board, and the driver gets a 360-degree view camera system, among other niceties.
In terms of safety aids, the EU-spec Ranger now offers blind spot monitoring and parking assistance. The only engine available is a range-topping 3.0-liter six-cylinder diesel rated at 240 PS (237 hp / 177 kW) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque.
