The part-electric Geely Galaxy Starshine 6 is already available for ordering on its domestic market.
The sedan is sized 4,806 x 1,886 x 1,490 mm (187.7 x 73.7 x 58.2 inches) large with 2,756 mm (107.7 inches) between the axles. It rides on McPherson front struts and twist-beam rear suspension. The wheels start at 16 inches of diameter and get to 17 inches in the upper trim levels. There are five trims to choose from, priced from 85,800 to 118,800 Chinese Yuan.
The exterior is modern-looking and clearly inspired by the recent Mercedes models. The cabin comes in three color variants: black, black/brown, and black/white. The digital dash screen is 10.3 inches large and the infotainment system spans 14.6 inches from corner to corner. A wireless phone charger is included as standard.
Power for the Starshine is provided by a 1.5-liter, naturally aspirated engine and a single electric motor. The former delivers 110 PS (108 hp / 81 kW) and the latter adds 160 PS (158 hp / 118 kW). An 8.5-kWh battery pack runs out of juice after 60 km (37 miles) of all-electric range. Opting for one of the top trims nets you a superior 17-kWh pack reportedly capable of 125 km (77.7 miles). Geely promises a combined fuel economy of 2.8 liters per 100 kilometers, or 84 MPG in North American numbers.
