Partisan Motors has produced the first Lada Niva Legend in a special, limited batch of off-roaders designed for Germany. Russian carmaker AvtoVAZ had nothing to do with it.
The special edition consists of 50 cars that celebrate 50 years of the Volzhsky Avtomobilny Zavod in Tolyatti, Russia (oddly enough, all sources seem to indicate the company actually turns 55 this year). All vehicles will get unique number plaques and certificates. Halberstadt-based dealership called Fahrzeuge Bögelsack Service & Verkauf GmbH will handle the sales.
At €19,900, the Niva Legend is around three times as expensive as the regular Niva off-roader made in Russia. There are good reasons for the price difference, however, aside from just logistical expenses.
Compared to the stock model (shown in the video), the Legend features LED headlights, more ground clearance, special alloy wheels, off-road tires, new kick plates, heavy-duty bumpers with a winch mount at the front, roof rails, a snorkel, hood inserts, arch/side moldings, and a cabin wrapped in black imitation leather with red stitching for contrast.
