Neil Peart’s Silver Surfers car collection goes on sale

Seven sports cars that used to belong to the late Rush drummer Neil Peart will be going under the hammer soon. The Silver Surfers collection will be sold separately, with certain examples expected to fetch $1.5 million.

A 51-year-old Lamborghini Miura P400S is the true gem of the lot, and the seller could get between $1.2 and $1.5 million for it. You can watch the video attached to this news article for an overview of this timeless classic.

A 57-year-old Aston Martin DB5 with multi-spoke wheels and dark grey interior is being assessed at $725,000. A 1965 Maserati Mistral Spider, one out of 125 units produced, could go for as much as $625,000.

A Maserati Ghibli 4.9 SS, also nearly half a century old, could bring home $300,00, a 1963 Chevrolet Corvette could net another $160,000, and a 1964 Jaguar E-Type could be sold for $180,000.

All cars constituting parts of the Silver Surfers collection sport the same silver exterior finish except one. A 57-year-old Shelby Cobra 289 V8 boasts a black exterior and could go for $1 million.
