Leapmotor C10 goes REEV to fit in the market
Leapmotor has decided to offer a range-extender hybrid alternative to its C10 electric SUV, allegedly “to better suit the customers’ demands.”
The new powertrain consists of a 1.5-liter petrol engine, a single electric motor rated at 215 PS (212 hp / 158 kW) and a traction battery with 28.4 kWh of available capacity. Once full, the battery lets you cover 145 km (90 miles) on pure electricity, and starting the engine as a generator extends the range to 950 km (590 miles).
Leapmotor operates in tandem with Stellantis in Europe, so the two companies will exhibit the new C10 at the Brussels Motor Show in Belgium on January 10–19, 2025.
