Lynk&Co has reported receiving 12,886 reservations for its new 10 EM-P hybrid saloon, but there’s a catch.
This optimistic figure presents a stark contrast against the closely related, but all-electric Lynk&Co Z10, which has only found 3,154 buyers in China from January to July. On the one hand, it looks like the new 10 EM-P model is much more popular despite being very similar to its EV predecessor. However, CarNewsChina.com warns that buyers can cancel their preorders with a full deposit refund, so it remains to be seen how they convert into actual sales.
Back to the 10 EM-P, though. It’s a full-size sedan with a body length of 5,050 mm (197.3 inches) and a wheelbase spanning 3,005 mm (117.4 inches). Its powertrain comprises a 1.5-liter petrol engine and multiple e-motors for 523 PS (516 hp / 385 kW) and 755 Nm (557 lb-ft) of torque total.
Batteries are available in two sizes. The 18.4 kilowatt-hour one gives you up to 100 km (62 miles) of range, whereas the one that’s 38.2 kWh large yields 192 km (119 miles). Sprinting from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) doesn’t take longer than 5.1 seconds, per the manufacturer.
Feature-wise, the 10 EM-P comes with a 12.66-inch digital dashboard, a 15.4-inch infotainment display and a 25.6-inch HUD. Available extras include the G-Pilot H7 ADAS featuring 28 different safety and steering assists, a 256-color ambient lighting system and a 5.7-liter mini-fridge.
Prices range from 192,000 to 222,000 Chinese Yuan.
